Prof. Hai Jin

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (IEEE Fellow)

Hai Jin is a Chair Professor of computer science and engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China. Jin received his PhD in computer engineering from HUST in 1994. In 1996, he was awarded a German Academic Exchange Service fellowship to visit the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany. Jin worked at The University of Hong Kong between 1998 and 2000, and as a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California between 1999 and 2000. He was awarded Excellent Youth Award from the National Science Foundation of China in 2001. 

Jin is a Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of CCF, and a life member of the ACM. He has co-authored more than 20 books and published over 900 research papers. His research interests include computer architecture, parallel and distributed computing, big data processing, data storage, and system security.

Prof. Athanasios V. Vasilakos

Athanasios V. Vasilakos is the author or coauthor of more than 200 technical papers published in major international journals such as the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications and conference proceedings. He is also the author or coauthor of five books and 20 book chapters in the areas of communications.,Prof. Vasilakos has served as the General Chair, Technical Program Committee Chair, and Symposium Chair for many international conferences. He is the Chairman of the Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee (ISATC) of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He served or is serving as an Editor and/or Guest Editor for many technical journals, such as the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics—Part B: Cybernetics, the IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and the IEEE Communications Magazine. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Autonomous and Adaptive Communications Systems (IJAACS, http://www.inderscience.com/ijaacs) and the International Journal of Arts and Technology (IJART,http://www.inderscience.com/ijart).

Prof. Pascal Lorenz

Pascal Lorenz (lorenz@ieee.org) received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in refereed journals and conferences. He was Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine Editorial Board (2000-2006), IEEE Networks Magazine since 2015, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2017, Chair of IEEE ComSoc France (2014-2020), Financial chair of IEEE France (2017-2022), Chair of Vertical Issues in Communication Systems Technical Committee Cluster (2008-2009), Chair of the Communications Systems Integration and Modeling Technical Committee (2003-2009), Chair of the Communications Software Technical Committee (2008-2010) and Chair of the Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (2016-2017), Chair of IEEE/ComSoc Satellite and Space Communications Technical (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Finance Committee (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Conference Coordination Committee (2023). He is senior member of the IEEE, IARIA fellow and member of many international program committees. He has organized many conferences, chaired several technical sessions and gave tutorials at major international conferences. He was IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer Tour during 2013-2014.

Assoc. Prof. Por Lip Yee

Universiti Malaya, Malaysia

Dr. Lip Yee, an esteemed Associate Professor at the Department of System and Computer Technology within the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, earned his Ph.D. from the Universiti Malaya under the mentorship of Prof. Abdullah bin Gani in 2012. He is also a senior member of the IEEE. Since then, Dr. Por has made significant contributions to academia, research, and industry.

Dr. Por's research endeavors have been at the forefront of technological advancement, particularly in the domains of security and quality assurance of information (NEC 2020: 0611) and machine learning (NEC 2020: 0613). His research interests include machine learning, support vector machines, deep learning, long-short-term memory, computer vision, AIoT, IoT, blockchain, authentication, graphic passwords, PIN-entry, cryptography, data hiding, steganography, and watermarking. His pioneering work has garnered recognition both nationally and internationally, with over 90 academic papers published in reputable journals. Notably, he was among the first few pioneers to publish in the top 1% of ISI journals, with commendable citations across platforms such as Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Prof. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain

Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia

Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain (M’10) received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics and education from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in quantum computing and communication from the University of Bradford, U.K., in 2005. She was the Head of the Department for Communication Technology and Networks from 2006 to 2011. She was the Head of the Section of High-Performance Computing, Institute of Mathematical Research, UPM, from 2012 to 2015. She taught several courses for the undergraduate students, such as data communication and networks, distributed system, mobile and wireless networks, network security, computer architecture, and assembly language. For postgraduate students, she taught few courses, such as advanced distributed computing and research method. She is currently a Professor with the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, UPM. Her areas of interest are computer networks, distributed system, mobile and wireless networks, network security, quantum computing, and quantum cryptography.
